no matter what i change i can't get this out of my hostname. I ordered a server through orbit and asked the price, . I was waiting for my pro-rate cost and he responded with "your server will be online in 24 hours".

Which was fine until i relized my hostname wasn't specified, Now i can't get "mylastname.servermatrix.host" removed from my email's and such.

Ive read over at the swsoft forums that the best thing to do is reformat and install plesk?

Im sure someone here has had this problem? How can i fix this?

Drop Support a ticket and get them to change it for you. That should usually do the trick.

already did, they just did the quick computername change through windows,

im going to open a new ticket though, i can't move anything over until i know i can fix this.

I had same problem...ended up being in MySQL for Plesk.

I had the problem back in the 7.0 days, but if I recall, 7.1+ had the option to change hostname in Admin Panel.

For Plesk 7 on Windows:

To change the host name, right-click the My Computer icon, choose Properties. Select the Computer Name tab, then click the Change button. Specify the computer name as desired, and click OK. When done, restart your computer.
