OK. If you saw my previous thread you'll see that I asked about what happens when you cluster two machines and create the same account on server2 that you had on server1.

I found out the hard way.

I'd like some help (either words or links) as to how to get the DNS records back to the way they were. Specifically:

- How do I reconnect a subdomain (secure.domain.com) back to its subdirectory?

- How do I get the "mail.domain.com" back
- How do I get the base domain name back to resolve to right directory again.

I removed the account and hence the DNS entries for the 2nd server. So the domain is now back pinging to the correct IPs. But when I go there it says the standard cPanel bluescreen "No Domain Configured"

I also added a CNAME For the subdomain but it is somehow not connected to the directory under public_html.

Any help is appreciate. I'll keep searching around the internet.

If you deleted the domain from WHM you will need to recreate it. You don't necessarily mess up things by creating the same account on the second server. It just overwrites your DNS entries and this can be easily resolved by removing the second account then simply adding a new DNS entry with the IP of the first server. Then you can go into Cpanel for that account and delete then recreate the subdomain. Deleting the sub-domains does not delete the directory their data was in so it would show up just as it did before.

Thanks.

Related Question: I got the subdomain back working again on the primary IP address. I need an SSL for that subdomain so I went and updated the A record for that subdomain to use the new IP address (same server). Now when I try to go to that subdomain it says cannot be found. The subdomain is pinging to the correct server and correct (new) IP address.

Any ideas?
