Has anyone been brave enough to try this out yet? I've been reading on the SW-Soft forums that there is/was a problem with upgrading the key, just wondering if anyone has given it a shot.

Do NOT do this. We're trying to get in touch with Sw-Soft about licensing on it, however as it stands right now you will be able to upgrade to 7.5, but you won't be able to license it. This will effectively disable Plesk and all the domains that you host.

I just got word that we now have the ability to upgrade keys to 7.5. You should be able to upgrade to this new version now (caveats about having data backups, etc ... )

Do we have to request a new key or anything or does it not need one to update?
Thanks!

It *should* automatically upgrade the license, but if it doesn't, shoot us a ticket and we'll do it manually.

Not for me :/
My key updated fine, but the actual PSA rpm gave me an error that I have never seen before. Waiting for word back from SM. In the meantime, Plesk is broken :/

yikes...I hope you get it figured out, what operating system are you using? Can you keep us updated as to what the problem and solution was?
Thanks!

RHEL3, and here's the error I'm getting:
CODE
error: %pre(psa-7.5.0-rhel3.build75041208.19) scriptlet failed, exit status 1
error: install: %pre scriptlet failed (2), skipping psa-7.5.0-rhel3.build75041208.19
Nothing additional logged to file. It would be nice if they actually told me what failed, but I guess not :/

yea, that is pretty unhelpful...is this through installing the rpm from command line or through the 'update' page in plesk?

rpm via command-line.

I saw the fix for this on the plesk forum last night...

FINALLY .. GOT the answer ..
This is the answer from PLESK Support:
Hello Bashar,
It probably means that the main plesk package psa-*-rhel3.buil*.rpm has been deleted from rpm database (for example with #rpm -e psa-*-rhel3.buil*.rpm) so installer thinks that there is a standard plesk installation on the server. You should update rpm database with following command:
"#rpm -Uvh --justdb rpm_RedHat_el3/base/psa-*-rhel3.buil*.rpm"
then try to update again.

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! Worked like a charm. Now I've got one tiny issue dealing with the new locales system (it's displaying the general text instead of the English-specific text), but that's a small issue. THANK YOU!

looks fine in firefox for me :
I keep getting the please wait, loading section in firefox 1.0 that won't go away. Makes it impossible to click certain options in the CP. Works fine in IE though.
Looks like it does some kind of overlay on every load and unload, not sure to what end yet though.

Clear your cache/reload.

Yup, I've got it. Been waiting on Plesk to fix it for 3 days now, nothing yet.

Can any SM support staff contact SW-Soft for the hotfix to this?

It looks like plesk has some new modules for this version such as vpn, counterstrike, fileserver, and firewall. Are these included in licensing now? Also, did sitebuilder licenses ever get bundled in with the SM licenses? And I wonder when they're going to finish the windows upgrade version.
(Btw, since when did sw-soft decide to become a game server control panel company anyway?)
I've been reading about too many issues with this upgrade, so I think I'm going to give this upgrade a few days before we upgrade so y'all can work out the bugs there first.

The CS module is $99 one-time (I too thought this was misguided), the other 3 are included in the standard license (this is my understanding, anyway). According to my Plesk license manager, my SM key supports Site Builder. I don't care enough about it to try installing it, though.
