I currently rent out several Medal of Honor Allied Assault and Call of Duty: United Offensive servers to various groups.
I have always had problems with getting the servers to report on Gamespy. It use to be if you unclicked the button on Gamespy that was marked "Servers In My Country Only" it would show my servers and ips. I worked with Gamespy for weeks and they concluded it was my server provider (Server Matrix).
After a few weeks of this, the problem fixed itself, sort of. Certain ip's would show up on Gamespy, others wouldnt, even though I used the same server.cfg files with the same reporting on all ips.
But now once again, all of my Server Matrix servers have dropped from Gamespy. I am part of a small group of server admins and we all share information. After investigating what is going on, I noticed that the some of the other admins that use Server Matrix are experiencing the same issue. Some of their ip's are showing on Gamespy, others are not.
I have been trying to get some Call of Duty:United Offensive servers rented out. I have gotten two so far, but I am about to lose both of them, because the servers will not show on either Gamespy or via the in game COD menu. No matter what I do or who tries to help me, I have been unable to these server to report to Gamespy or to Activision. If anyone has any suggestions I would love to hear them. The best response I have gotten on the Cod forums was to switch companies. They say to do this due to the fact that this has happened at various other server providers and the only choice they had was to switch ips or providers. Thank you.

I wanted to make sure our netblock's whois information looked right, which it does.

Somethign else that can cause this is an old reverse DNS record for your IP. It's possible the client who used that IP before reverse pointed it to a foreigh address. Open a support ticket to check your reverse DNS records.

I opened a support ticket. The Planet said to do an nslookup. I did this and this is what came up.
Name: 66.69-56-196.reverse.theplanet.com
Address: 69.56.196.66
Anymore help would be greatly appreciated.

I don't have any insights, but the same thing is happening with my Desert Combat server. It is not showing up in the in-game GameSpy browser or ASE. My IP is 70.84.26.*

We had that issue with COD:UO, it was a bad configuration file and just took some time to appear.
I have found gamespy can be funky sometimes as well. I have put up a number of servers that don't appear right away. Then a day later they do

I have a server @ 70.84.43.196 and all the servers on there show up. Also have another one in the 67.18.254 range and no problems there.
All my servers show up once they are running.

I found the problem. Somehow the DNS settings were not set to The Planet.

You changed your server's DNS resolvers?

How do I check this for my bf1942 server? Maybe I have the same problem.

It would be on your network card not on the actual game itself. If you go to network properties and then click the connection and go to properties it should be in there somewhere.
