I have one question concerning the backup. I know that whm has an option of daily backups, but where i could store that backup so as to be safe if one of my disk(packet has 2x120GB) fail?

thank you in advance!

I already said to you - on the second drive. There is no need to open multiple threads for the same questions.

Sorry, I'm trying but sometimes it really hard, especially with "I know how to use the browser and e-mail and I'm 13 allready, so why not open a webhosting company" and self-titled problem resolvers wink.gif

What might happen is the guy asking the quesiton will take offense to your reply, no matter how nice you tell them, and blow the whole issue up into a pissing match. Then you get a lovely note in your inbox note saying if you can't play nice, you're gone. All because that 13 year old didn't get his way. Pathetic.

I don't know. Probably a few, but I just delete it as a spam since I never asked for it. icon_smile.gif

If you want to be safer, you should also keep an off-server backup. In rare cases, something could happen to your server that would take out not only your primary but also your backup drive -- datacenter error, power supply failure, drive controller failure, cracker exploiting your server and wiping your drives etc..

Your choices would be:
1.) get a package which includes NAS backup space.
+ quite affordable and good performance in my experience
- not 100% reliable in terms of uptime, so can be a pain to use

2.) purchase new disksync
(unknown + / - as I've not used it yet)

3.) purchase a lowend / closeout server elsewhere or purchase backup space elsewhere (e.g. at gnax) to have a geographically separate backup in case of natural disaster. I think the SM datacenters are far enough to be safe, but some prefer to have a backup in another state in case the worst happens.

Everything else has been flooded out by annoying tits asking how to do my signature. icon_mad.gif
