After over a month of not being able to push backups to the GNAX network (at least, not at a reasonable speed), I am finally able to complete my offsite backups!

My speeds to GNAX now....

Current Out: 22.1 Mb/s

After replacing the supervisor card on the DSR in DC2, My speeds both in and out have improved dramatically, not just to GNAX.

Thanks!

MegaBytes or MegaBits?

Either way, thats still very nice!

I'll bet they'll be looking/monitoring the other switches/routers to see if there are any more updates/tweaks that can be made.

Mb = megabits
MB = megabytes

8M/bs = 1MB

so hes getting about 2.75MB/s. Pretty decent speed really.

Does your path to gnax still go over Level3?

Mine are. Just pushed 36MB with average of 2077.59 KBps.

top bombing!

167k a sec from my box atm icon_smile.gif

nice one

Mine is still poor icon_sad.gif

Grabbing a file from our shared server in Telehouse, London, average of 90kb/sec. Grabbing the same file via 2mbit ADSL averaged 238kb/sec. This just doesn't seem right to me icon_rolleyes.gif

Mine seems to be good to gnax, just under 1MB/sec on a 10mbit port.

Websites aren't having troubles like yesterday... so i think all is better.

I wish I could say the same, I'm still geting the slow speeds and i'm int DX2.

Could you give me your ticket number so I could refer to it in my ticket and say that yours is fixed and tell them what they did?

Not sure what good it will do you, as the ticket has been ignored for a few weeks.

I would assume your speeds would be just as well, since I am coming through DC2 (I am in DC4) to get to DC3 to get out on Level 3. Here is my traceroute...

It's impossible to push more than 12.5 MBytes/sec with 100 Mbit port. Any server admin should know that.

Not everyone here is a server admin.

MB Mb, bps Bps etc can all get a bit confusing if your not sure about the terms.

Will is looking into the issue right now for me, so hopefully he'll get it figured out.
