A virtual account's dns has resolved faster than the main account, since that has happened the virtual account is getting this error

There was a problem logging onto your mail server. Your Password was rejected. Account: 'mail.XXXXX.com', Server: 'mail.XXXXX.com', Protocol: POP3, Server Response: '-ERR Sorry cannot find new root device', Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Server Error: 0x800CCC90, Error Number: 0x800CCC92

Email appeared to be working earlier. Does our main account's nameserver need to resolve before a virtual account's email will work? Or is this a different problem? Ive checked and double checked the mail server / user / password in both the control panel and outlook and they match.

I found the problem, I had apop checked and shouldn't have been.
