I've followed the instructions at bagnet for RRAS and the setup went smooth without any problems.
I have a total Control server so I added the additional IPs through the IP pool. However, it seems that no FTP/websites work on any IP other than my main IP. I can ping the other IPs just fine but cant browse or FTP to any of the additional IPs.
I've configured/removed/configured three times but still face the same problem. Can anyone help me out?
I have a total of 11 IPs and I have the start+1 and end IP in the IP pool along with subnet mask of 255.255.255.0
Thanks

That subnet mask doesn't look right - it should be the same as your primary IP bound to your network card. It's something like 255.255.248.0 if memory serves, but you need to check it.

Thanks for your response. I checked the Subnet Mask and it was 255.255.255.240 so I changed it to this in the RRAS setup but still no luck. The error I get when trying to access through a browser is:
Network Error (tcp_error)
A communication error occurred: "Operation timed out"
The Web Server may be down, too busy, or experiencing other problems preventing it from responding to requests. You may wish to try again at a later time

Do the web sites and ftp work on the other IPs if you disable RRAS? In other words, are you sure the fault lies with RRAS or might it be a config problem in IIS? Did you bind the websites to those IPs?
Remember, pings (ICMP echos) are either on or off, you can't control that at IP level. The fact you can ping the other IPs means nothing at all - if you enable pings, any IPs bound to your server will ping.

Yep- once RRAS is disabled, I can get websites to show up as well as FTP & Remote Desktop to connect that are bound to IPs other than the primary.

Aargh! I read the tutorial over again and stooooopid mistake. I was not adding the mappings for the additional IP addresses.

Look on the bright side - now you
really know RRAS inside out

I am having a similar problem I think but I am a little confused by RRAS in genearal.
I have three IP addresses:
x.x.x.70
x.x.x.71
x.x.x.72
The main IP address (.70) works fine after enabling RRAS and selecting the default services for this IP. My problem is with the additional IP addresses.
I then add .71 and .72 to the address pool. When I add a new Service I put the .71 address in the address pool entry box, but I am not sure what to put in the private address? Should this be .70 (the main IP), .71 or .72?
I assume my problem is that whatever entry you put in the private box is where all traffic from those IP addresses are redirected to. My IIS is setup to expect traffic on all three IPs and if .72 is redirected to .71 or .70 it is not recognized. I can easily change IIS if this is the case, but if this is correct, what about things like SSL that require a certain IP address? Doesn't redirecting to one address break this?
Thanks for any help you can provide.

You put the same public IP in the private address field, so .70 => .70, .71 => .71 and so on.

Thanks for the reply.
I must be going nuts. Before I posted here I tried adding individual services for .71=>.71 and .72=>.72 but it kept saying that a service for this port already existed and it could not be added.
I tried it this time and it works fine. I must have had the wrong entry in the address pool or something. Thanks again for your help and clarification.
