Hmm, for last 5-6 Days Cppop is pooping out and failing/restarting over and over again with hundreds of mails getting sent to my main server addy. Mail is getting through just fine, but can't see why Cpanel releases's buggy automatic updates for stable versions of Cpanel.

Second time that Automatic update has screwed something up

Umm, to me the solution seems like it'd be obvious... *shrug*

You can even pick your fix:

Don't use Cpanel automatic updates!

Or... don't use Cpanel!


Having heard of Cpanel's legendary stabilty, I've set updates to manual and only updated cpanel to Stable (or the rare Release), after it's been out for a little while, and when I'm available and have the time to deal with any potentional issues.

Haven't had a problem with cpanel so far using that approach. (At least not one that didn't already have a tested fix out on the forums by the time I ran into it.)
