The main problem is i need to edit the dns located in etc but as its read only i cannot edit this. (along with other files)
Nor can cpanel create a new website either.

I have tried temporily making it rw with mount -uw but i get
"operation not permitted"

Can anyone help me on this?

Try using:

mount -o remount -a

The command remount comes back not found.
if i do the same with mount it comes back with the.
"operation not permitted" when it tries to mount ad0s1a (/)

Thank you,

The "options" column (4th column) in fstab is set as "rw", yeah?

If so, try running:

mount -a
Devion
