BTW, if you use afraid.org for backup DNS, are other people allowed to create subdomains of your domain or is that only if you use freedns for primary DNS?

Subdomains shouldn't be an issue if his DNS servers simply slave off yours. Support could be an issue. Thought about running backup MXs. I possibly have the software to do it if you can modify it. PM me.
