During the Plesk installation the SSI web service was inactive and therefore it is not available in the component list in Plesk.

I turned SSL on manually from IIS manager and even restarted the server but the component is still not available in Plesk.

What should I do to activate SSI in Plesk icon_question.gif

Ya I'm also having the same problem

Component SSI support was not installed ENABLED DISABLED
Component ColdFusion support was not installed ENABLED DISABLED

I've checked the IIS6, and saw that .shtml extension is properly installed.
I tested an SSI included in a test.asp file, and it appears correctly.

Plesk 7 WIN 2003

Anyone please help?

PS: also in Plesk how to change the default home directory to another location when setting up a domain. I have 2 HD and want it to be in D:/vhost/... rather than C:/inetpub/vhost... , how do I do that?

I found this at the plesk forum:

SSI has to be installed on the server via add/remove programs/windows components.. This has to be done prior to installing PSA.

We found that when using includes, we have to do

include file="../file/file.inc"

instead of

include virtual="/file/file.inc"

This solved our SSI problems with asp.

Not sure if I install the SSI now will it mess up Plesk settings?

This is the Plesk support team answer for it (windows server):
"Go to Control Panel, Add/Remove Programs, uninstall SSI and reinstall it back. The problem you observe is related to SSI being installed, but not configured in registry. We are not 100% sure why it happens, but it seems that some automated setup systems are installing SSI (and some other services) in that way.
We have contacted Microsoft regarding the best way to detect whether SSI and other add-ons are installed, but checking the registry was their best answer. So, for now we only have a workaround - uninstall/reinstall service that is not detected by Plesk, and then it should be available."

and that worked for me perfectly.

The point is to re-install the SSI not simply activating it from IIS manager.
