I'm slowly getting to grips with my server, but I am still having one problem
IanCunningham.com now points to ns1.servermatrix.com and ns2.servermatrix.com and works fine. I want to create ns1.iancunningham.com and ns2.iancunningham.com so I can point my domains to them without having to send in a ticket to add them to the SM name servers.
I added 2 name servers ns1.iancunningham.com and ns2.iancunningham.com pointing to my first and second IP addresses that I have been given.
Could someone explain where I go from this point, so that the new nameservers work? I'm using Win2003 and Helm.

Since you are using SM nameservers for your domain, you'll need to add these in Orbit for NS1 and NS2 in addition to adding them to your server. Also, make sure you have your nameservers registered with your registrar.

At mininum you need to create the following A name records, parent name record pointing to one IP IIS is listening on, www. which is pointing to one IP IIS is listening on, mail. which is pointing to IP your mail server is listening on, and MX record pointing to mail

Helm auto-creates the neccessary DNS records for you. If you originally didn't have a DNS resource enabled, you could add it after setting up your DNS servers and then use
this script to rebuild the DNS structure.

Thanks Kyle, I've given it a go!

Now that I have run the script, when I check up on one of my domains I get the following error:
http://www.checkdns.net/quickcheck.aspx?do....com&detailed=1
Even though I have MS DNS running on my server?

your servers are dead either Microsoft DNS isn't online. Why? Either the service crashed (unlikely) or the requests for whatever reason aren't making it through.

Thats the strange part, MS DNS is running?
This is what I have done so far
Added ns1.iancunningham.com and ns2.iancunningham.com pointing to 2 IPs here with SM via my domain registrar. Hosting www.iancunningham.com on ns1.servermatrix.com and ns2.servermatrix.com
In helm, set the main NS as ns1.iancunningham.com
SM have also worked some magic for my to add ns1.iancunningham.com and ns2.iancunningham.com at their end.
