Just got my windows box and planning to install firewall. But my knowledge on this is limited. I need advise on which firewall software to use (free) and what port is what? lol. If you can point me to a list of port's definitions, that would be greatly appreciated.

Routine and Remote Access is simple, free and built in to Windows. Search the forums here, there are some very good posts explaining how to use it. Just remember to enable the Remote Desktop port first before activating it
