Hi everyone,
Is there any decent (and free) tool to monitor the CPU and memory usage on a Windows Server 2003? What do you guys use?
I know that the control panel I use (Plesk) has a simple monitor, but only shows average CPU load in last 1, 5 and 15 minutes I think.
I know that the built-in Performance Monitor can be used for this purpose, but I don't know if it is possible to set it up provide some statistics (i.e. average CPU load in last 24 hours etc). I can only watch current CPU load with it (as well as the 1minute and 40 seconds average).
Is there anything else?
Thanks,
Rado

I use SM's Silver Managed Plan (free), which has a CPU monitor. It gives those kinds of statistics and also notifies me when CPU usage becomes critical.

Now that was fast

Thanks, I always thought that the CPU monitor in the Silver management plan only provides warnings when the predefined levels are reached, but if it also contains the statistics I'll try that.
Thanks,
Rado

We roll our own monitoring system. It doesn't give us stats for the past 5 minutes but it does give us alerts and watches alot more then just CPU. Anyways, Performance monitor could do what you wanted by starting it up and just leave it running for x amount of time you want data for.

How can this be done? I've been trying this (left the performance monitor running) but it was always showing average and max/min values only for the past 1 minute and 40 seconds. Am I missing something?
