IIS was using over 500mb of memory when i checked it a few min ago. it has never been that high and usually hovers around 70mb.

There was no traffic spike, just about 1mbit avg. I restarted IIS and everything was fine.

What could have caused this?

i will keep an eye on it to see if it happens again.

It's probably some very busy script or processes which caused it. Are you aware of any sites on your machine which may be doing something intensive at that time ?
FarCry
Make sure you dont have asp/asp.net pages getting hosted that dont clean up variables, and are not stuck in an infinite loop.

thats about the time logs get cleaned up, but my logs are not more than 5mb a day.

The box is mainly a secure ftp drop, so there is only one asp.net application running, http://www.ngallery.org/ and its for family only, it gets about 3 hits a day :o :o wink.gif

i checked my logs and there wasnt some rediculous boost of traffic, and the firewall didnt indicate any attacks.

I will just have to keep an eye on it.

Go into the application settings and get it to recycle when it hits 75mb of ram icon_wink.gif

i tied it down to ngallery, that thing uses a ton of memory.
