Can someone explain the ColdFusion/Plesk PowerPack deal to me?

Does a fully licensed copy of ColdFusion come with the Plesk PowerPack or not? If so, what is the recommended installation configuration and path to enter under Server -> ColdFusion Setings?

If not, what is required to have ColdFusion? Is this link only to manage a fully purchased, license and installed version of ColdFusion? This sure seems like a waste of a PowerPack option. I could think of some others ServerMatrix should offer.

Coldfusion is a 3rd party commercial product which cost more than Plesk + Powerpack added together. What the Powerpack provides is the integration to Coldfusion but you still need to own your own Coldfusion.

Check out http://www.macromedia.com for more information on the Coldfusion license and product.

The powerpack is not a product of SM but that of SW-Soft.

Does the ColdFusion/Plesk PowerPack actual give the customers an interface or just the system administrator?

According to http://www.sw-soft.com/en/products/plesk7/addons/#cold , it reads

QUOTE
ColdFusion Support
Plesk 7 Includes a new installation Interface for ColdFusion - Using this add-on module Admins can configure ColdFusion paths and enable/disable ColdFusion support in the Hosting setup.

Yes, I know. But there are sure a few other add-ons I would have preferred over the ColdFusion interface. Presumably SM selected the add-ons they wanted to offer.

Actually you cannot diable it if it was never set up. And like everything else Plesk, you can't remove the greyed out icon if you don't have the service and don't want to show your customers. At least I have not figured out how to do this yet.
