I found a server in NY that I can ping to in the 30-40's (ARIN records show it's in NY). I'm in southern AZ. Here's a trace to that server:




Now to our server:




And from our server to me:



Now, it'd be nice to receive those kind of pings on our server. But, I'm not exactly sure if SM is the people to be talking to about this. Might be my ISP, but it doesn't hurt to ask icon_smile.gif (probably a bad time to ask, though heh!)

I'd still like to come in on Level3 because then my connection wouldn't need to go to Cali and then to Dallas. That'll cut down on some ping icon_smile.gif

You'll have to speak to COX about their routing then, since they control how your packets get back to us.

If you call clearing your browser cache changing the ISP's routing, sure, I'm sure your ISP's tech support will be happy to do that for you icon_razz.gif

Depends on your ISP and who you know in their network department icon_razz.gif I've had my ISP change some routes for me before icon_smile.gif

Would be nice of them to change it (Cox that is), I've been getting slower loading times by the week now too all my boxes here at SM icon_rolleyes.gif

Called them and the tech said that it was out of hands. I kept asking him if there was someone I could talk to about that, but he said that it'd probably have to be someone in atlanta...
