Hello all,
I am running DNS on my server. Now, sometimes at my location I am not able to access any sites on my server. But if I put the planet or my own server's IP address in for my computer's DNS, it worked. So, my ISPs Domain servers can't resolve my address for whatever reason.
Well, I am now finding out that this is happening at client locations with different ISPs, they can't see thier site and can't get e-mail. You can guess how that is going over with them.
I am having no issues with other sites on the internet, could this be a problem on my server or is it a problem with multiple ISPs?
Please help, I am really stuck and it is a huge problem.
Thanks!

Might help if you leave us a domain so we can run it through dnsstuff and see what we can find.

What did you do to set up your DNS server ?
Did you create the entry at your domain name registrar?

We are on a different server to the guy that started this thread...
Im a UK user, using Tiscali. We often have problems with DNS and our sites...
Im currently having problems accessing ceejaycee.net.
I can access
http://ceejaycee.net but not
http://www.ceejaycee.net
I can access
http://as-hosting.com but not
http://www.as-hosting.com
Do you need me to post DNS zone files for these domains? Should i submit a ticket in orbit?

Thanks for the replies guys.
One of the domains on my server is www.kottonkandykids.com. This problem is happening to all my domains.
All I did to setup my name servers was to enter in a primary and secondary nameserver names on my CPanel setup. Also, I did setup the name servers at my registrar and all my domains point to both of my name servers.
Thanks!

It seems that you do not have www. set on the domains.
In the DNS administration, add www. to the DNS as you would a subdomain.

What/where am I supposed to change or add?
If I go in the zone file for a domain I have www as a CNAME for the domain, I am not sure if that is what you mean.
