Are reseller discounts available on TC servers like they are on SM servers?

You could contact sales directly for that. I am sure they would want to protect you and other resellers by not revealing any special arrangement.

Good point. I had called last night, but it was just after 10pm when TC Sales closed for the night.

Let us know if you find different, but I believe the answre to be NO. There are only reseller discounts for SM, not TP.

You can offer a box similar to a Total Control box by using a SuperXeon. You won't get the control panel and the CPUs will be 2.4s instead of 2.8s, but it's close. Also it will cost twice as much, so this is just a "for fun" idea.
What you need to add:
800GB per month more: 400$/mth
5IPs -> 11IPs: 8$/mth
10mbit -> 100mbit: 10$/mth
FloodGuard, 16IP block: 20$/mth
Urchin 100 -> 300: 20$/mth
Management Silver -> Gold: 50$/mth
40GB Backup plan: 40$/mth
Total cost: 697$/mth
Wow, when you think about it, the Total Control server is really a good deal

Of course, it's only 297$ without the extra bandwidth, that's where the big cost is.

Buy many many servers from ThePlanet/ServerMatrix.

So, you have to buy over time? Then the discounts come? Or are we talking one bulk-order?

Technically speaking, you need to have at least 3 machine under your name which you could get at any time. You need to have a clean billing record, good knowledge of servers and so on before you apply to be a reseller. Also you need to have the account for at least 30 days. I believe you need to sell a number of servers a month.
However if you are looking to get a discount, they normally would provide one if you purchase bulk number of servicers at one time.

Plus theres also the 100% uptime, compared to 99.9%, and the DRAC card.. you could never compare a SM server to a TP one

There's no DRAC card in the P2800, so there's only the 100% SLA you're missing. As I said, you can get the SuperXeon pretty close
Of course, why you'd WANT to considering what it costs, I don't know

Last i heard, there were no RESELLER discounts for the TotalControl servers

Nope, there are no reseller prices for TP, only SM. I tried when I switched from SM to TP. I ordered 4 P2800S's. By far the best thing I've done.

Hello, all -
This is Mary with Total Control Sales. As of now, we do not offer any kind of reseller discount. The way the servers are priced, (as in, right now, with $0 setup on all boxes) we can't cut them anymore.
Thank you guys!

now that you are charging setup fees for the lower pricing, is there a reseller discount?
mhall

I guess I should have said "especially" instead of "right now".
The $0 setup deal was a special; the current pricing you see on the site is just our standard pricing for each. We lowered the price on both of the E300's by $50/month recently, so that is a pretty big move, but we still do not have any kind of reseller discount. If a customer is interested in getting 10 servers at once, that is the only time we generally offer any kind of price break, and then it is marginal, perhaps the equivilent to the $0 setup special.
Believe me, this forum will be the 1st to know if we are going to go in that direction.
Thanks!
Have a good evening

Don't think we don't know it
Any special we run on the P2800s is always a big hit, and the folks who make the specials are very aware of that. We will do that one again in the future, you can bet on it.

In case anyone is interested, the P2800S is on special - $249/mo, $0 setup.
This will last only a couple more days, I think.
