I need a mail applocation that will allow automatic creation of POP boxes, for one hosted domain name.

Any recommendation ?

I'm not certain I understand what you're trying to do. Can you elaborate a bit on it?

That's simple: A visitor on the domain www.domain.com will be able to open his POP box, whatever@domain.com ! All must be automatic (Signup, password choice, box creation).

Are you trying to replicate what hotmail.com does by allowing anyone who visits your site to create an email account with web mail access ?

Hotmail isn't a very good comparaison But yes, something like that, with POP access and webmail... If possible with PGP (or GPG) support....

A good mail service like that is www.mailvault.com, but there soft is very expensive, I am quite (?) sure there's some open projects somewhere, but coul;dn't find anything!

You could use Plesk's creation utilities to do this, but you'll have to code it from scratch. AFAIK, no such application has been released to the general public yet...

There are GPL apps for qmail to do this but they wouldn't work with Plesk. Plesk stores mail users, passes, qmail quotas, etc. in it's database and uses this info quite often for various things.

I guess you could create such accounts outside of Plesk, directly in qmail, but than you wouldn't have any control over them trough cp.... and it would be probably a lot wiser to use a plain RH server with custom qmail setup for this approach.

or if your after something a bit more powerful - directadmin - www.directadmin.com does this - look in the forums for the scripts to allow email signups
