Sure if I wanted to uninstall it. But I want to just disable it.

just go at /usr/local and rename urchin dir to something else "renamedurchin" or whatever you want.
Then to nuke all the urchin dirs in your users...
rm -rf /home/*/tmp/urchin
make sure to remove the urchin from rc.local to dont runn it at startup
I found this on another forum.

Done! Used disk space has been reduced two times, by almost 10 GB.

Is there a way to disable Urchin in a per domain basis?

Likewise. It would really be nice if cpanel had an option to enable or disable urchin on a per-package basis (and of course not have the overhead in CPU and disk usage of urchin processing for lower-end accounts.) For the big active accounts I like having two stats options to offer (awstats and urchin) but for the little freebie sites urchin chews up a lot of unnecessary cpu.

Doesn't cpanel overwrite anything you set (enable or disable) directly through urchin though?

Indeed it does. WHM does not play very nicely with Urchin.

You can disable Urchin and other stats by default and/or disable it for specific accounts with the latest RELEASE, CURRENT, and EDGE builds from cPanel using the statselect Addon Module from WHM.
WHM > Addon Modules > statselect
I tested it a few weeks ago and it's definitely not perfected yet. I noticed that when I tested it, it would allow resellers to change stats for *all* users on the server instead of just their own.

Found it, I go on the link and say that I want Urchin to run only if the user modifies to allow them too. I dont allow the user to modify stas packages but it still has the link and the link works on the control panel.
Any idea why it is still allowing the user to use Urchin??

The link in cpanel will access that domain profile. Login to your urchin admin and delete the profile.

After removing urchin my loadlevel went from 1.XX down to 0.63 and my 80gig hdd went from 31% to 26% ... just goes to show how much a load of bloatware urchin is. I must admit its pretty but it just isnt worth the resource hog considering i old had 100 profile licence...
