Full Version: Advice on Free DNS Control Panel

Hi Guys,
I've written my own DNS control panel which will allow customers to make changes to their zone files etc, without giving them elevated privileges on the box etc. I was wondering if I could get some advice on UI and some basic bugtesting done.

Once I feel it's ready to go live (it's very close), I will be giving away the source for it on freshmeat etc. Just wondering what you guys think of this, and what you've come up with to make things simpler to use for the newbie/non admins.

What you'll see is just the interface a user will see when they login. Right now, all domains etc are manually entered into the system. I should have that done by next week.

I appreciate any feedback you guys can give me on this.

I checked your but I perhaps missed the download.... have you released it yet? I'd like to test drive it myself.

Due to my schedule being really really busy, I hadn't had time to get a release ready yet. It is now in production use on my own servers, and the first public beta is out. More information can be found at: http://www.phpcult.com/binder.php

You can download the files at: http://gforge.linuxpowered.com/frs/?group_id=5

Please let me know how it works out for you.
