Full Version: Plesk and Permissions

I have recently started with my first Plesk server. I am finding that permissions to folders are all locked down more that I would think they should be. Is that normal? It seems like Plesk would be able to know what folders need to be visible.

For example, any new domain that I create, I have to go and change the permissions on the httpdocs and httpsdocs folders. I know I can create a new skeleton, but seems like these should just be standard to view when a new domain is created.

Also, my webmail does not work.
Warning: fopen(/etc/psa/.webmail.shadow): failed to open stream: Permission denied in /home/httpd/vhosts/webmail/horde/config/horde.php on line 173

Will changing the permissions on the /etc/psa/ fix this problem.

Thanks for any help.

That sounds abnormal. My Plesk install had all of the correct permissions and webmail worked out of the box without permission changes.
