I've tried several ways of limiting Pure-ftpd but none where succesfull.
Anyone who could help me out? (I totally gave up after 8 hours or so)

Well, I am about to use Pure-FTPD and this is what I see on their site as a feature:
- Every user can be assigned individual quota, ratio and bandwidth.
It looks like a great piece of software, but I know nothing about it. Try this site:
