I was wondering if anyone else that host game server here especially HL or Battlefiled vietnam have noticed a lower ping time to their servers in the last week.My connection is the same as always but instead of a 70 ping in my HL servers I am now down to a 40-45ms ping.Wondering if TP made any network changes that may have done this,if they did thanks alot!

sombody told me that we got a few more connections, im not sure myself, but they said that we did.. im not sure if that would lower it down some or not, but i havent noticed a big change in my ping, but i dont play those games.

I run 4 cs servers here and haven't noticed much of a change for myself or other players. More than likely your ISP route to SM changed reflecting these lower pings for you, it happens to me occasionally.

I recently moved and now using Comcast cable. My pings are 10ms lower than BellSouth DSL.

yea, cable is a hair faster then dsl..

That all depends on the ISP and your location...I have much better latency to almost everything since dumping Charter for BS dsl. My bandwidth downstream is a lot better as well.

well, if you say so.. but iv never heard of anyones dsl being faster then cable...
