Hi everyone

I keep getting brute force attempts from 82.83.145.73 and I wanted to look up more information on it. Is there a website you would recommend?

thanks.

Your average UNIX box can help you out. Run "whois 82.83.145.73" and you should get the info you need. icon_smile.gif

That is RIPE networks...European registrar. I have banned the entire IP range from all of my FTP servers and TeamSpeak server. There seems to be allot of trouble from that region.

I was getting repeated brute force attacks on the FTP servers and they kept joining the TS server and causing problems...hate to admit it but they actualy tricked one of my admins into giving them Op's, then proceeded to ban everyone from the channel and delete all of our sub-channels. He has learned his lesson now however icon_wink.gif
(If someone in your TS server ever asks you to right click their name and hit "E" DO NOT DO IT)

Of course I have no use for ANYONE from Europe connecting to my server as it is just used for game hosting.

We have a fair amount of trouble from that area of the world also. TS always brings in Aholes. Too bad the newest version of TS only supports 20 bans.
