Full Version: Web users login to FTP?

Greetings!

I made a webuser, which is supposidly mydomain.com/~webuser

But... how does that user upload files? Is it through FTP? So it would be something like
ftp.mydomain.com
webuser
password

I tried that and it kept saying failed to open home directory. Any help would be much appreciated.

BTW, I did check Plesk's forums but found nothing. Thanks!

Yup, it is possible. It is just an issue on where you point the directory to. By the way, is this Plesk Windows or Plesk Linux ?
thrillhaus
Plesk Windows. And what do you mean by pointing the directory?

EDIT - Hmm... for some reason it works now. I don't know what I did icon_smile.gif

What I mean is that every user would have their own directory in the server and in the FTP set up on the server, you need to define the root directory for each of these users. Any case, Plesk may have taken care of it for you.

Ah, I guess I may have expected a little too much from Plesk icon_smile.gif

But if I have to define folders for web users, that won't be too much of a problem, simply because there won't be very many web users.
