From the off .. I am a complete DNS newbie..

I have two servers 1 Linux (WHM/cpanel) 1 Windows 2003 (Plesk). the Linux Server (server 1) is currently running and hosting several websites the Windows server(server 2) is new. After much sole searching and questions to SM I have decided to us Server 1 as a master DNS and Server 2 as a slave.

Unfortunately after posing the questions several times over the weekend to SM ( who are usually awesome) I am unable to get any instructions on how to make the entries into WHM or Plesk. Truth be told I have no clue (so my wife says )

1. Is this the best way of doing this ?

2. How do you through WHM to make server 2 a slave?

You could set the windows up as master and Linux as secondary. Windows DNS is easier to deal with as it comes with a pretty snap in. As for doing it with Plesk and Cpanel, I'm not sure, I never liked those as they are good for customers but I like hands on SysAdmin work.
