Call of duty: where can I find Win32 dedicated server file?

There is none. You need to upload the whole game and run CoDMP.exe + set dedicated 1 or + set dedicated 2 to run a dedicated server.

All those servers running at one time on one box?

Does anyone have any type of stats about running halo? Thanks
nolimitz84
Apr 4 2005, 04:49 PM
On my Dual xeon 2.8ghz with 1gig ram
With 8 halo servers up all full cpu usage averages around 65% with spiking around 75% so thats around 8.1% per 16 man halo server(full) which is pretty good if you ask me. I love my dual xeons

what about CS:Source CPU usage?
Sublime
Apr 12 2005, 10:54 AM
A 12 player I host uses up to 15% when full. A 32-player I host uses around 25%. There both normally full.
Ofcourse it might vary for some but this is dual 2.8 with 2gigs of ram.

You need them? I have a tarbal of them from a little bit ago somewhere
On a side note
AVP2 - 12 players = 1-2% cpu and about 10 megs memory LOL.

Would I be able to host
(4) SWAT4 servers 16 slots
(1) CS:Source 24 slots
(1) BF2 24 slots on one server
(1) Ventrilo 30 slots
on one machine. Thanks for this thread

I'm not sure how well swat runs, so I couldn't specualte there, though the BF2 is pushing it. I'd guess no unless swat was super cpu efficient.
Cheekzilla
Oct 6 2005, 07:16 AM
I doubt it is efficient. I have heard that it is comparable to UT2004 (same engine). If I read this thread right and UT2004 uses approx 15-18% per 16 slot game than I would be maxed out without even trying the BF2.
Using this box for a clan and not hosting for clients what would be a decent threshold % for usage? Would I be ok if I was using 90% with all servers full, or do I need more room? Thanks again for the help

Were these games running concurrently, ie at the same time?

Command & Conquer - Renegade
Full 40 Slots = 30% CPU Usage
I believe Renegade has a VERY bad Net Code which is the primary cause of this spike in CPU Usage, but it is low in ram usage because of the low resources it takes. This is one weird game o.0

How would I find this info for my server?
Trexer, are you using Cortex for your control panel?
Trexer
Jan 4 2008, 04:35 PM
I do have Cortex but I do not run my servers though it.
That data is on Cortex instances and is stored in a database. If you are not running them through Cortex then you won't see it.

Well Quad Cores didn't exist here at TP when this thread originally came up.
This thread is comparing the really old Xeons that had FSB's as low as 533MHz, so please no1 compare the information in this thread to modern day Single CPU Xeon based servers. Especially do not compare the results in this thread to modern day Dual CPU Xeons as most are Dual Core now aswell.
Looking at my old post in this thraed just makes me chuckle.

Someone should start a thread for a quad core CPU

. I could add some data to it

.
(Info for newer dual cores wouldn't hurt either

)

If that's the case, then why don't YOU start it so it can be jumped off properly? You'd be able to setup the foundation of it any way you want by your creating the thread. ;-)
