Full Version: Setup my DNS and went over to dnsreport.com ...

I ran the test on several of the domains I host to check and see if everything is ok.

Everything was ok except for the fact that it reported my ips were not public ips but private ips.

Is that bad? How would I go about making my ips public? Submit a support ticket? Should I even waste my time worrying about it?

To see for yourself, use this domain. jdhostingsolutions.com

They seem to think SM IPs are private.. They report the same way for my nameservers. I think it's safe to ignore.

Yep. Its something to do with ARIN being very slow in updating their IP databases.

As long as dnsreport displays the right result how IP-s can be private and not reachable... icon_biggrin.gif

The problem is ARIN (slow and sometime also innacurate)
