Well before i really screw something up, is there a tutorial out there for setting up DNS on a Windows 2003 box?

For whatever reason this blows my mind everytime I attempt it.

Domain is registered.
ns1.mydomain.com => 216.234.234.30
ns2.mydomain.com => 12.96.160.115

Sent a request to support for DNS updates and reverse updates. I also sent them what will be my primary and secodnary ip's.

Ok.. assuming they'll get me straight, how about the Windows DNS configuration. I'm guessing you "Create a forward lookup zone". Then select "This server maintains the zone".

Now I'm lost, what's the zone name? mydomain.com or just some made up name at this point. If someone knows of a good How to, that'd be great.

Thanks for any feedback.

Thanks for the reply, I'll look it over. I think I got it all working though. SM Support helped out a bit, kudos to them.
