Hey -

Currently we have a 2.6 GHz w/ HT, 1 gig of ram server with another company, and we've run 64 slots on it (it's never been full, however).

Today (about 15 minutes ago) I ordered a ServerMatrix server with a 2.8 GHz w/ HT, 1 gig of ram, 100 Mbps Uplink, Windows 2k3 and was wondering if I could have 80 slots on it no problem. We'd also like to run a small Ghost Recon server (less than 12 slots) as well.

Will this be a problem?

The 2.8 will not handle 80 slots of BF1942 very well. You may want to set the BF1942 server to the average player count you normally have now and that should leave you room for Ghost Recon.

I don't think you will see that much of a difference between the 2.6 and the 2.8 either way.

If you want to run BF1942 Duals are the only way to go.
