I am using a windows 2003 dedicated host here basically as a file server. I would like to access the http server via IP address only and point a subdomain to the server. Is this possible in Plesk?

For now, I've had the admin add my spare domain to their DNS and have pointed my DNS to ns1.servermatrix.com & ns2.servermatrix.com. This should work right?

BTW- I've set up for exclusive (not shared) ip addresses.

I basically want to do the same thing: use my server as a file server.

Right now my site is located at a reseller's server for a low price, and I don't have the bandwidth required for downloads at that server, so I'd like to put the downloads on my server here and point to them.

I don't need to point a domain to the IP, but rather just use the IP. Any help would be appreciated.

It was actually quite easy. I just set up a new client, then added a domain as a server, then for the domain, I chose: cards.mypropertycard.com

MyPropertyCard.com is hosted by PHPWebhosting, I added a sub domain to the domain (cards.mypropertycard.com) and pointed it to the ip address of my servermatrix server. After the DNS updated at PHPWebhosting, it worked like a champ!

If you need a hand, PM or e-mail me.
