I'm just wondering how many simultanous users (roughly) can be support on a stock SM P4 2.8, 1Gig RAM, RedHat Enterprise configuration? Is there any scripts I can use to load test my server? And, where should I start looking in tweaking the server to support more user?

This question gets asked a lot. It really depends on what your users will be hosting. 400 clients is probably too many. 200 might be okay. There are too many variables and no formula to get a really good answer. Just be reasonable. Nobody likes hosts that oversell.
