my servers crashing fairly often and I think its down to the temp of the machine. I have installed Speedfan (available here http://www.almico.com/speedfan.php ) which on occassion has reports extremely hot temps. But because I am new to dedi servers I was wondering what other people get, I mean what is 'normal'?

so if you lot would be so kind could you install speedfan and post you server temps??

The hottest I have seen via this program for mine is 135f for the Hard disk.
Server is:
Super Celeron 2.4
1024mb ram
1 x 80gb Hard drive.

my hard drives right now are at 45C (113F) and 50C (122F)

and my cpu is usally at 25-26C (77-78F)

that temp is a lil high but its ok, your server could be crashing for another reason, btw I'm on the 2.8 P4 Server

the error codes that windows shows indicate hard ware problems (I posted them in a thread in this section, no one replied) and as memoey and chassis has been changed I dont know what else it could be. After installing Speedfan and watching it for a bit the temp does get very high thats why posted to try and get an adverage to work from.
