After registering and setting it up, and when its done I run up2date -u I get this message

This system may not be updated until it is associated with a channel.

I forgot what this means, I had trouble with it on RHE and it just resolved itself eventually anyone have any idea?

hi ron, i'm new to the RHE game too, this is all i know:

try "up2date --show-channels"

you should have at least this channel (RHE3):
rhel-i386-es-3

for more (mysql) you need these:
rhel-i386-es-3-extras
rhel-i386-es-3-devsuite

open a tt, they should add the channels to your server
