I am not sure if it only happens to me or if it is something general so here we go:
It would be nice to have a ticket open once a server was confirmed. This would help a lot to learn more about "how long it is going to take".
I am moving from Ev1 to SM and I have server admins on "standby" waiting to do all the config, tweaks etc. I contacted SM after 24 hours since the signup page says 24 hours or less if there is no special partitioning etc.
I wrote a PM asking for the status before 6 hours and got a reply that CPanel is installed at the moment and that it won't take much longer so it was fine with me as it doesn't really matter if it's 24 hours or a bit more cause it's not going to kill anybody :)
Anyway what I would expect is some sort of new ticket as soon as the techs are setting up the server cause it is really no fun if you have admins waiting to go and I have to say: It's done soon... hold on...
Would be nice to see a ticket like:
Ticket open: Order verified
Updated: Preparing installation
Updated: Server setup completed
This is not really a complaint but if you run business every minute counts and it is very important to know own timelines (especially if you move from other servers to SM and everybody is waiting to tweak the server(s)
