Hello,

I, too, am having the same problem. I found where to change the Bind version in WHM->Server Setup->Edit Setup; I changed from 8 (what the default was) to 9 to match my version of Bind (9.2.2) that shows when I do Server Status.

But still get the "rndc: connection to remote host closed This may indicate that the remote server is using an older version of the command protocol, this host is not authorized to connect, or the key is invalid." error when restarting Bind.

Thanks!

Hello,

someone send this to me, I just get my error fixed. I wish it can help you too.

I'm sorted out, too.

I think my problem was needing to set the Bind version to 9, then I manually restarted named.

What started my issue, I think....

I was trying to use my current nameservers hostnames, and since CPanel won't let me set them up (IPs already in use message), I found some links leading me to manually change the /etc/nameserverips, /etc/wwwacct.conf, and /etc/resolv.conf.

All is well.

Thanks, Diane
