Full Version: updatenow won't work
The Planet Forums > Control Panels > cPanel/WHM

I'm currently on WHM 9.1.0 cPanel 9.1.0-S93 running RedHat 9.

I tried /scripts/updatenow but it froze at "receiving file list ...". This happened on 2 of my servermatrix boxes. I have another box at Nectar with very similar setup and cpanel build but it's working there.

Also, my RPM lists on all 3 servers are empty in WHM. I tried the following fixes but still no luck:

Thank you for reading.

Some of cPanels servers are down/having problems at the moment, you problems is probably (most certainly) related to that.

same problem for a few of us yesterday, it was not cpanels servers as updatenow worked fine on servers not located at sm.

see http://forums.servermatrix.com/viewtopic.html?t=5336

ftp would not allow uploads, cpanel could not be updated etc..

cPanel said they were having problems with their servers, and I think they know their servers better than anyone icon_wink.gif

IIRC different datacenters (and licence holders) connect to different servers within the cPanel server farm, so the ones that the other datacenters connected to may not have been affected by the outage. icon_smile.gif

cpanels servers dont cause ftp upload problems though, strange that cpanel update and ftp on all my sm servers went down and came back at the same time, I have no doubt you are correct about cpanels servers but that doesn't explain the problems some of us faced yesterday.
