I got a lot of inbound ICMP Access in my server. What does that mean?

Is it ok to block the ICMP access? How will it affect the server?

Do you know what icmp types your seeing? Icmp type 0 & 8 are pings so that's mostly harmless. Here is a list of icmp types, I wouldn't block type 0, 3, 8, 11, and 30.
