SM,
What gives with the lack of support recently? I don't want to bust anyones chops, but this is beyond excessive and pretty disappointing.
Can someone please offer some resolution to this ticket?

I'm currently checking into this, and will get it handled immediately.

Have you called them or redress the issue with sales. They usually are quick with that.
By the way, what is the nature of the ticket ?

Thanks to Ben for getting it taken care of for me.
It was a ticket for a firewall request. I had the PCI card added to my W2K3
box and the requested ports had not been open, making my box inaccessible for that time period.
Ben was good enough to get someone to take a look at it for me.

Every time I call SM I feel guilty that I'm taking up their time

I agree. Ive been put on hold, after 20 min I was not sure if I was still connected to them or the line had gone dead.

I wish I could disagree with you here but Servermatrix seems to be lagging quite a bit recently. Most of my tickets have been open for at least 24 hours with no resolve. Though ServerMatrix might have some valid reasons I still think someone should at least post something within 24 hours. I have been with them for a couple months, since November and this is the first they have fallen behind.

I'll get on that, maybe have it done this week.

wrong again...
so, what kind of music ? There's pretty big licensing issues, BMI gets involved etc... So we may take whatever we can get, even if its some microphone hanging in the datacenter somewhere.

You seem to be missing the "ServerMatrix Staff".

I've pm'd him for verification. If he is who I think he is, then yes he is staff and he could add hold music. Although a microphone in the datacenter would be rather boring. Who wants to hear the drone of AC fans while on hold?
Heh I suppose it can give you that experience like your really at our datacenter. Virtual reality at it's finest! Watch the webcams and stay on hold!

You don't necessarily need to look at licenced music. There is plenty of unlicenced music you could stick on that is perfectly acceptable. I would provide a url, but I can't find the link I was looking for.
Failing that, even a small beep every 15-30 seconds would be a start
EDIT: Er, it appears that while I looked away for 10 minutes, an additional four posts appeared in the thread. My point still stands, I guess, it's just not where I wanted it

I think you looked away for more than 10 minutes, or you didn't realise there was a second page

I used to work at a company that had Star Wars as their hold music, since the license on that has expired and it is in the public domain now. At the time we were buying up a lot of ISP's so the Imperial March that came on was somewhat humorous.
