I just installed a geotrust certificate at order.mydomain.com using WHM. Everything seemed to go fine and the domain is now listed as a SSL domain. My question was, how long will it be until this domain starts functioning? I just get 'page cannot be displayed'. Does it take 24 hours or something? Also, it should automatically point to mydomain.com, right?

Well, it depends on your DNS. if you ping order.mydomain.com, does it say it can't resolve or does it work? Are you using cpanel for the dns also so it knows to add the subdomain?

If I ping it says 'unknown host'. I am using ServerMatrix's nameservers, do I need to add the subdomain manually somewhere?

Yes, you need to add an A or CNAME record that points the hostname "order" inside that domain to your ip. I dont use the SM name servers, so I am not sure how to go about doing that.
