How do streaming video servers coexist with floodguard?
For example windows media server will do traffic on different ports using TCP or UDP.
Is there ANY possibility of degradation or negative impact on standard communication in this scenario?
Can I get an official response from the Floodguard "guy" at the datacenter?
Thanks!

Floodguard will not slow down traffic; it's not capable of doing that.
FloodGuard will either allow the traffic or block it. Your data doesn't go THROUGH floodguard, floodguard sits on the side and watches the data going by, and if it sees something it thinks should be blocked, it sends a new list of rules to the router, and the ROUTER does the blocking.
However I can't answer your question about Floodguard having an effect on WM Server. You'll have to wait for CRodenberg for that.

FloodGuard co-exists very well with streaming media servers such as ShoutCast, ICEcast and WindowsMedia server.
We have more than just a few streaming media servers running with FloodGuard protection already.
