Im thinking about setting up a DNS server with cPanel/WHM. To what extent will cPanel/WHM take care of things? Will I still have ot secure the nameservers etc?

WHM should take care of the server side configuration for the DNS server. You will have to define which IP addresses and Name Server names you want to use.

You will have to publish the dns name and associated ip address at your domain name registrar by creating a Nameserver entry under the associated domain name.

I am not sure about the security issue as the name server is probably not one of those services which are being actively exploited.

Well, the person who I am working with (much more of an expert with Linux then me icon_biggrin.gif) said that it would be a lot of work to secure the DNS and such. From my point of view and all that I have read, its not that big a deal...

Another question: Say I were to use servermatrix's DNS servers. If someone creates a subdomain via cPanel on my server, would I manually have to modify the DNS entry in Orbit for that domain?
