Full Version: What does this mean?

It's part of the daily cron update from Cpanel and I got this e-mail.

/etc/cron.daily/logrotate:

error: Ignoring snmpd.rpmnew, because of .rpmnew ending
/etc/cron.daily/slocate.cron:

warning: updatedb: Could not find the group: slocate in the /etc/group file.
fatal error: This is a result of the group missing or a corrupted group file.

That last warning means that the 'updatedb' command can't run because you don't have a group called 'slocate' defined on your system. 'updatedb' is a command that updates the database of files on your system so they can be located quickly using the 'locate' command.
