Full Version: [Debian] Remember to specify ext3!!!

When SM does a debian install they make the partitions ext2, not ext3. I don't remember what the default is, but I imagine thats what they're doing. Its so automatic for me to use ext3 that I forgot to even specify it for my install.

Now to figure out how the heck to remotly unmount the root filesystem and tunefs it.

you should not need to unmount it to use tune2fs. you'll have to remount it to actually use the journal though. make sure that the kernel has ext3 support though icon_biggrin.gif
