Is it possible to change an accounts domain name to another? Lets say I set up a domain : www.mysite.com and it's running as normal, with Oscommerce...etc.
Now, if I wanted to keep that site but change the domain name for it, say, to www.anotherdomain.com but keeping the same site, is this possible? (pref in WHM) or do I need to create the www.anotherdomain.com from scratch and upload all the files again?

This doesn't fully work. You can change the domain name in the account, but if you change the account name, several other things will need to be changed manually like database names, etc because all I can tell that WHM does is rename the account directory. Also, some scripts may require a path which would need to be manually changed if the account is changed. Although not necessarily the proper way, the easiest way would be to change the domain name only. The scripts may or may not work properly and stats will likely be off. You could park one domain on the other to hopefully keep scripts working.

Yes, renaming the domain of an account will cause WHM to create another DNS zone. It doesn't really "rename' the domain. I have tried this once and the domain became not listed in in the account list although it is still active.
What I did was to ask the customer to backup his data. I then deleted the account and re-established it with the new domain.

I had a host do this when I was on a virtual account and wanted to rename my account. It was actually a pain as a customer to reupload the site and recreate all of the databases and everything, but either way, someone has to do it and the host didn't, so I did.

My customer only had his account for 2 days. So there wasn't much data to backup and it was not a problem.
After I re-established the account, I advised him to use the "Parked Domains" feature in the future instead of requesting for a domain change.
In my opinion, if there is anything that need to be improved/updated in WHM, the renaming feature should be on top of the list.

We advised our client to simply rename the sites domain name and it seems to have done the trick. Proberly not the way I would have done it for one of my own domains, but the client was looking for an easy way to change teh site domain.
