Full Version: Nightly Apache Failure During cPanel Update

Get this every night, there a way to get around it? It causes httpd to die every single night.

Any ideas or solutions? Thanks in advance...

I'm getting the same error on the nightly update. From what I've heard through channels, it might be an error on Red Hat's part. The rpm package might be corrupted.

I tried to force the update to install and it still couldn't, so.

I wonder if anyone has contacted Red Hat about this yet. Not very good for those people that run enterprise servers. Apache goes down and has to be restarted every night because of this error.

if you have cpanel it shouldnt update

just put it in skip packages in up2date

Yup this is something new in the Cpanel updates. Add httpd and ypbind to the skip list (option 24 in up2date --configure) and this solves the problem.
