Full Version: Outlook Express mail not sending
The Planet Forums > System Administration > Mail Hosting
santame
We have recently transferred our hosting accounts to this service. It seems as if Outlook Express is no longer able to send emails for our clients, but receiving them is not an issue. This is the error they are getting when attempting to send an email:

An unknown error has occurred. Subject 'Hi Joan-update from Steve', Account: 'salemonl', Server: 'mail.salemonline.com', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 25, Secure(SSL): No, Error Number: 0x800CCC0B

If anyone has any thoughts as to why this is happening, I would appreciate it. I have check and Outlook Express Auto Configure is currently enabled. Not sure what else to do.

Thanks for your time.

I am not sure what you are asking. I am sorry. I am new to the server business, but am trying to learn as quickly as possible.

This has been done, but the same error is still repeating.

Email Servers are usually configured to allow for multiple email accounts for multiple domains. In this situation, there is just one email server which respond to various alias email server name.

So you might to use the username as 'salemonl@salemonline.com' instead of just 'salemon1' .
